This role will be a key asset in the future growth of the Company while maintaining financial reporting integrity. This individual will lead the Accounting processes and assist in the management of the Company’s daily finance transactions and reporting. They will provide financial support to Leadership including the preparation of financial presentations, analyses and other projects as requested. The position reports to the Corporate Controller.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and determine credit approval levels for new customers
- Manage/reconcile monthly sales and use tax reporting (multiple states)
- Evaluate, recommend and implement a Third-Party Sales & Use Tax solution
- Assist with the management of accounts receivable, accounts payable and collection activities
- Oversee the financial reporting associated with the warehouse inventory
- Manage sales/commission reporting
- Manage employee expense reimbursement review and processing
- Assist in preparing and evaluating annual expense and sales budgets
- Assist with Treasury processes: bank reconciliation, cash management, payables processing
- Assist in the research and development of a job costing process that can be implemented with the next phase of the NetSuite implementation
Education and Experience Requirements
- Undergraduate degree with accounting and/or finance major
- 5+ years of experience of accounting and finance experience
- Working knowledge of automated accounting systems and query writing is preferred but not required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Access, SQL and PowerBI preferred but not required
- Demonstrated success in leading process improvement initiatives
- Solid comprehension of financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting and accounting systems is required
- Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
