We are seeking Engineering Sales Representatives to join our growing teams. The Engineering Sales Representative will have responsibilities for providing technical and application assistance to engineering consultants to influence their design and specification requirements; developing and managing sales plans to increase sales effectiveness and sustain sales growth; developing new business along with maintaining and further developing existing business partners; promoting manufacturers’ visits with strategically important customers and business partners; attending trade shows, product shows, and industry functions as required to keep informed on activities and changes in the building HVAC marketplace. Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include sizing, selecting, and designing mechanical and HVAC equipment for engineers such as custom air handling units, packaged rooftop equipment, dehumidification systems, Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS), chiller systems, air distribution/ventilation systems including grilles, registers and diffusers, laboratory exhaust and controls systems, clean room air filtration, dust collection systems, and variable frequency drives.
- The candidate must enjoy promoting products, developing customer relationships, and being known for product expertise.
- The candidate will support engineers with system equipment selections, prepare quotations, and sell equipment to owners and contractors.
- Knowledge and experience selling mechanical, HVAC sheet metal products and control systems are desired.
- System start-up, troubleshooting, building management systems, and controls experience are a plus.
- Strong computer skills are required. The ability to use technology to automate or simplify processes is a plus.
- The ideal candidate will have three (3) years or more experience in architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, or the construction industry.
- A bachelor of science in engineering or construction management is a plus.
