The April Edition of XeteX’s “Did you Know” features a heat pipe pool unit. XeteX’s normal “go to” solution for pool applications is an energy recovery with a cross flow aluminum heat exchanger. However, this application wouldn’t allow for that due to duct locations, footprint and weight limitations of the roof. Therefore, the best product for this application was a heat pipe heat exchanger which offers many of the benefits of the cross flow aluminum heat exchanger but has the ability to have a side by side air flow path in a compact footprint.
